In case you are wondering... as soon as I landed in Cincinatti, I got kidnapped! They came in a huge limo and whisked me away. The kidnappers then made me watch the Fishing Show and even though I was terrified, I was so bored that I fell asleep.
When I woke up, I was at this location. And in front of my eyes, my abductor... Captain Jack Sparrow also known as Johnny Depp!
So that is where I have been for all this time. On a boat, sailing with Captain Jack Sparrow.
Unfortunately... I was rescued and thus I am back.
Thank you Mr. Mayor of Pottsville Mr. Mythos for your efforts to rescue me.
Le sigh!

I am sure it was a humiliating experience for you. And, of course, people who have been kidnapped often have difficulty returning to normal life. Victims usually have learned to repress the awful things they were forced to do. This is especially true of those many women Jack Sparrow has kidnapped. It is important that you allow these repressed horrors to re-surface. So, tell us Scriber. What did that monster do to you? We all want to know these details, no matter how gruesome.
Mythos: It was a surreal experience. Jack Sparrow forced me...
To drink champagne and eat chocolate covered strawberries all day long.
To wear the rubies, emeralds and diamonds that he gifted to me.
Jack Sparrow also deprived me, in fact forbid me, of doing dishes or laundry. He insisted that his shipmates do all that.
He also forbid me to attend all day meetings or even a single meeting. He said, "If you want synergy, swim in the ocean!" Le sigh. What would he know about synergistic meetings?
But I am back now. Free to do dishes, laundry and attend all day meetings. And synergize all I want.
Hi Scribers! I just discovered your blog through the NaBloPoMo forum and wanted to say hi! I also did a double take when I saw you were posting about visiting Cincinnati, as that is where I live. Honestly, ending up with Jack Sparrow sounds much more fun to me. :D
Great to meet you, and thanks again for your welcome and advice. :)
Oh, the bastard! Who could be so cruel as to ply a helpless woman with drink, and sweets, and jewels, and yet deprive her of dirty laundry and dishes? Has he no heart? Is he even human? Is he some beast even beauty cannot tame?
Julie: Hi! Thanks for commenting! Looking forward to nablopomo this year and reading your blog:) good luck!
Mythos: Yes he was brutal! I could not even attend any meetings. Not one in months. No deadlines. Nothing. How rude!
oh my! how did you ever survive? I should have sent you rum at least to placate the savages.
I am jealous you didn't steal me away too. I got captured and taken to Australia. Real pirates. Lots of hiking in the Blue Mountains.
Lindi: My bad. The next time Johnny comes calling, I will make sure that you are kidnapped as well. Who knows? We could overthrow his team and become super Pirates!
