So most of my regular readers know that this month, I've struggled with cold/allergies etc. While I have been taking regulars meds and antibiotics, I've been supplementing this with cocktail. Some folks have asked me for a recipe so here goes.
Ingredients
6 square inches Ginger root
1/2 teaspoon turmeric
1 teaspoon honey
1 teaspoon black pepper corns
1 tablespoon fresh lime juice
2 cups water
To make the cocktail:
- Add all the ingredients to the blender and blend.
- Strain the juice, keep it in a jar in the fridge.
How to use it:
- Pour it in a shot glass (my preference) and chug it once a day.
Benefits:
- Turmeric is a natural antibiotic.
- Ginger helps decrease the mucus in the body.
- Pepper creates the heat to battle the cold.
- Lime juice is a vitamin C shot.
- Honey makes everything taste better. Also... some people say that if you have a teaspoon of local honey everyday, it is equivalent to getting the allergy shots. It helps build immunity to the local pollen.
- This can be spicy. If you are not used to spicy stuff, dilute this cocktail with water.
