Ginger Cocktail

So most of my regular readers know that this month, I've struggled with cold/allergies etc. While I have been taking regulars meds and antibiotics, I've been supplementing this with cocktail. Some folks have asked me for a recipe so here goes.

Ingredients

6 square inches Ginger root
1/2 teaspoon turmeric
1 teaspoon honey
1 teaspoon black pepper corns
1 tablespoon fresh lime juice
2 cups water

To make the cocktail:

  1. Add all the ingredients to the blender and blend.
  2. Strain the juice, keep it in a jar in the fridge.
How to use it:
  1. Pour it in a shot glass (my preference) and chug it once a day.
Benefits:
  1. Turmeric is a natural antibiotic.
  2. Ginger helps decrease the mucus in the body.
  3. Pepper creates the heat to battle the cold.
  4. Lime juice is a vitamin C shot.
  5. Honey makes everything taste better. Also... some people say that if you have a teaspoon of local honey everyday, it is equivalent to getting the allergy shots. It helps build immunity to the local pollen.
Danger:

  1. This can be spicy. If you are not used to spicy stuff, dilute this cocktail with water.
If you do try this, I'd love your feedback. What do you think? Good or hogwash?

I haven't tried this, but I do keep a ginger/honey tea mix on hand for when I am sick, and I find it soothing! Hope you are better soon!

cute shot glass!
Sorry that you are not feeling better, and hope that this goes away soon!
by the way, in the last post you mentioned how this is worse than your body being invaded by aliens...can you describe that alien experience when you feel better please ;)

Just having a little fun, hoping you smile because that will start you on your healing!

This sounds good, and I will keep it on file and give it a try. Sorry to hear you're not feeling well after so long. I do hope you're feeling a bit better by now but since you haven't posted for several days wonder if you're still feeling rough...? Hope not. Get well soon!
