Vow of Silence

Today I have decided to take a vow of silence.

Yesterday while recovering from my cold/allergies, I decided to visit my bloggy friends. I left a comment that was nothing but ramblings of a lunatic. In other words, I made quiet a fool of myself.

Le Sigh!

And it could have been about something that really matters. Like World peace, Women's rights, eradicate poverty etc. But what did I get all worked up about? Judges on American Idol. Yep.
Le double Sigh!

So today, I plan on catching up with my friend's blogs. And refrain myself from commenting. If I do comment, it will be something brief. Don't expect any meaningful comments. Trust me. You don't want to hear my crazy ramblings. I am doing you a favor. And myself a bigger one. I can only handle making a fool of myself once a month.

Questions: Have aliens ever invaded your body? Does taking cold medicine ever make you feel like you are livin La Vida Loca?

Your post about AI was in no way too long! I loved it. Most times people say so little. It's much better when the comments create more dialogue. So keep on ranting. Blog land needs more rants! Vow to say more!!! There is actually much more that could be said and thought about re shows like AI. About media in general. If I post about something, nothing excites me more than readers putting their two cents in on the subject. Now please allow me to rant some more. Any blogger loves to get responses. Most disappointing is getting little or no response on something you posted because you thought it was interesting.

When I first started blogging, it seemed that in the first couple of months of blogging daily, that I was just talking to myself. In fact, I began to think of it as the purpose of blogging. But now, I see it as most rewarding when there is interaction with others, either on my own site or on theirs.

So, in conclusion, I implore you to retract this vow of silence immediately! One of the most damaging things going on in modern cultures is passivity. So crank up the volume! Otherwise, I will be forced to return to this site with an even longer rant!!!

OH!! I forgot to respond to your questions. Actually, no, I have never had an alien invade my body. The reason for this is that it was not necessary for them to do that. Whenever aliens have appeared, I just said, "Come on in!" My body is like a half-way house for aliens.

Re la vida loca, I say, "Think globally, party locally."

I have a splitting headache, and hope I am not coming down with something myself!

You mad and rambling?
Never ever :)

And not the bad words 'meaningful comments' - gives me a headache and I just recovered from a Backpain / Headache attack, thanks ;-)

Hi Scriber, First of all I love the photo - and that is a gorgeous iron gate. Secondly, I read the AI comment and it was not the ramblings of a crazed woman on medication. Thirdly, I don't believe you can do it. The vow of silence! And this is born out by evidence, since actually you did leave a comment when you visited mine. Two comments in fact, I believe. Finally, I have never personally been invaded by aliens but my son was when we went to Greece. Martians they were.

Go ask MotherMari's blog what I did and u won't feel so bad. We all slip up an leave dumb comments sometimes - I wasn't even on cold medicine, I was just not paying attention. Fortunately we both had a good laugh out of it and God bless her heart she went back and deleted both of my comments for me! You are just fine, sweetie! Besides, we all love to read rambling ranting raving comments - it makes life more interesting! Hugs!
