I saw this painting on the side of a wall at Tybee Island and was captivated by it.
It is so very interesting!
There is this scantily clad waitress in comfortable shoes.
Doom fish. What is doom fish?
There is a fish dancing like John Travolta.
There is some drink brewing and a fish is drinking it with a pipe. What does that mean? Coffee is so good here that even the fish drink it? Right before we kill and cook it?
There is a man on the surfboard whose face looks like a bird and he is holding a flag while surfing. What does that mean?
I could have stared at this for hours. It is so very interesting.
What do you think? Is there anything interesting this you see here?
And do you have a sudden urge to go to Spanky's?

I would love to go to Spankys, especially if that waitress is there! The mural is really great...its like folk surrealism.....
Well, to me it looks like the fish is inhaling the gas rather than the drink. I don't think I'm their target demographic - but I asked Son No. 1 and he said yes, he'd like to go. So there you have it - Spanky's is aimed at 15 year-olds. And - er - Dan.
You definitely could look at it for hours. There is something new each time. Very interesting.

I don't know for sure, if the fish is inhaling the gas, perhaps he is blowing on the fire to make it hotter, sealing his own fate either way. (doom fish) I like this mural because I think it is probably local, and hand painted. If Postcard's son likes it, that's good enough for me. : )

Blogitse: Everytime I see it, I see different stuff! Amazing. As photographers, we try to keep it very very simple. It is interesting that this is just the opposite. It is jam packed with stuff for everyone.
