Isn't nature awesome? To design a creature so treacherous and yet so beautiful - I'm almost at a loss for words (just almost...you know me!) Hugs!

What a terrific shot. Those creatures are so fascinating. Living, swimming, transparent blobs with strings attached!

That looks neat! :)

Nice shot...
jellyfish amaze me, but I got stung by a Portuguese Man-of-War once...and that put a damper on my interest to get too close. In the aquariums will be fine for me ;)

There's a balletic quality to their positions here. But I'd rather look at them from my chair than come across one in the sea!

Nice photo. I recall seeing many jellyfish like this at the Monterey Aquarium as well.

Very cool shot - I enjoying watching them when I go to the local aquarium. Never have seen one in the ocean though.

Croneandbearit: Hugs! Nature is amazing. And whoever created it must have a wicked sense of humor. How else can you explain menopause?

Mythos: Ha ha. Blobs with strings? Never thought of that.

Blogitse: Thanks!

BG: Yuck being bitten by them or stepping on them is horrific. On the North Padre beach, dead Jelly fish are always littered everywhere. If you step on them, it is so so painful! I want to see more of your underwater photos please!

Janice: Yep you don't want to encounter them in the sea or on the beach. They are glorious in the aquarium though. Very beautiful.

Catsynth: Thanks for visiting and commenting! I love aquariums! So much marvelous stuff!

KalaMarie: Thank you! You are a fabulous photographer and it means a lot to me:)

Beth: Thank you for visiting and commenting! Love Jelly fish! As long as they are in water:)

Devilish Southern Belle: Thanks for visiting and commenting. I love to watch the Jelly fish float away in water. Very graceful!
