Internet Search Engines

Fellow Bloggers,

I have a question for you. I've been blogging for a very short time. I've got site meter that tells me everything including what you are wearing when you visit my blog. Seriously.

So my question is this. Does your blog show up as a result for some fairly odd or unrelated searches? Is this a good thing or a bad thing?

Here are some things that folks searched for and ended up on my blog.

Google Search
top cabo san lucas lounges
Result:
Dreams Lounge

Fair enough.

Google Search
hoot hoot i scream
Result:
Hoot

??? Must research this. While drinking cheap wine.

Google Search
I fantasize husband and another woman
Result:
Mid-life-crisis

Ha ha ha! Ok. I'm so so sorry. I know this is not what you were looking for. Sorry. Now go away!

So what do you say? Does your blog ever end up on some odd searches?

Too Funny.
I always get people who are looking for "Melissa Midwest." I blogged about it once because I thought she was a fellow blogger. Boy was I wrong, lol.

"Carol Little clothing" checking in here.

And, for some reason "Brittney's boobs" always directs a significant number of hits to my blog (it goes without saying but, I bet, they go away disappointed and empty-handed.)

I'm also ranked #3 in "funny ipod engravings" which, you know, isn't so bad.

I actually took myself off of the google search feature. I was getting people doing searches for LOST.

I hope you are having a nice day so far! It is snowing here! I'm doing better than yesterday that is for sure. My sister is still the same.

Have a great day!

As Jodi suggest, you can go into your blog set-up and choose whether to allow your content to be available on Google or not. Titles of your blog entries and even certain buzz words can show up in googling around..say I posted something about Doo-Dah Dance Company someone googling that company would find my blog post as having content on the subject. Actually, I found your blog site by googling "spiders". Just kidding, but such things are possible.

MM: LOL. I had to look it up. Hilarious.

BG: I posted on your blog.

Carol: That is funny! You should blog about it.

Jodi: Good point. I like the funny results though. Very entertaining.

Mythopolis: You are too funny. No I did not get a massage. This was a sign at a restaurant. LOL.
