Pixel Fiction 2

This is Pixel fiction and this is the story I wrote. I write the beginning this time and Carol writes the ending. Anyone can participate. Just leave a comment with your blog address so we can read it.

Note to Carol: Yes I was sneaky. You can't write another story until you complete this story. The last one was hard for me.

Note to anyone who stumbles on this post: This is just fiction.

The Blond Girl...

Hello! I am a 25 year old, blue eyed, blond girl from Russia. I came to your country at the age of 21 because I was poor. I became a mail order bride. I knew not to trust the photos he sent. I just wanted a better life. And somehow help my family in Russia.

So I came and married him. He was older than dried prunes left outside in the bitter cold. He was mean. But I served him. I cooked for him, washed the dishes, and gave him a son. But he was never happy. I never made him happy. Did he make me happy? Yes. He gave me food and shelter. And my beautiful son. I could also send some money to my family in Russia. I could not complain.

But then I met Carlos. He worked at the grocery store. It was love at first sight for us. At first we pretended to run into each other. But the love was powerful. We could not deny it. We gave in. He wanted me to leave my husband and marry him.

And I would have.

On a cloudy day, I was walking towards the grocery store with the baby in my arms.

Your turn!

Nicole: Glad you like it. M. has already written one version of it. It is good. And yes I will be reading about white balance this weekend!

M.: Next time, be careful when you ask me to write about a blue eyed, blond, russian girl. Sorry to dash your dreams:)

Jodi: I can't wait to read it! Happy Friday my friend!

Here is the link to M.'s version. Carol is going to write her ending maybe this weekend. She is not reading any other endings until she writes her ending. I'll let you know.

Thank you so much for making this such a fun project.

oooohhhh, fun! I am a little crazy with Thanksgiving cooking, traditional food, going on!
It is the beach down the way from Ipanema. Ipanema beach is separated by a canal...we live on the more residential part called Leblon!

Ah, I've first looked on the wrong blog, grin :)
On my way to read it :)

Sorry guys but this is NOT fiction!
I know her! :-)

that anonymous was just checking HOW it works to be nobody...
it works!

SO, I do know this young lady...You know,
I'm from Finland - do you know where Finland is?

Hm...check it out & you'll know what I mean! :-)

and please visit my blog - there's a VIDEO of 'Finland at Expo 2010 Shanghai, China…' I want people to leave comments!

What's all this about Finland? She was a Russian mail order bride. Even 'Mericans like me are smart enough to know that Finland's not in Russia.

BTW, Pixel Fiction No 3 is up and ready for you to go. In keeping with my "Driving Towards December" theme, it's about racing.

ooops, sorry if my joking kind of writing wasn't clear enough.

The "joke" was meant more to scriber because I'm teasing her! :-) based on her commenting...
Sorry all the misunderstandings!
Will not happen again!

M: ???

Jodi: I can't wait to read yours! Don't read other endings before you write your version. Have a fabulous day!

BG: Someday I want to come to Rio.

Carol: Yippee!!! I love the ending. I posted a comment on your blog. Thanks!

Anon: I too know someone who I suspect is a mail order bride. She is happy though. Fiction is always based on some form of reality. Thanks for visiting and commenting!

Blogitse: LOL. You are hilarious! I would love to see your video. I'll do it tonight.

Carol: That was an inside joke. B. is in the photo forum with me. I am going to review this video about Finland. And so are you my friend:) I was going to ask today.

Blogitse: No worries. Carol is my photo mentor. She is amazingly talented and a professional photographer. I'm going to ask her to review your video and critique it like she does for my photos. She is very knowledgeable and extremely helpful. I got your joke:) LOL. Carol is on my blogroll. You can check out some of her work on her blog. She is amazing!

PEACE! :-)

The video is NOT mine. It's "official" video how they're marketing Finland's pavillion, Shanghai 2010.
What I WOULD like to know: people around the world, what kind of impression YOU get about Finland BASED on that video.

We see other cultures, countries etc. thrue our own life experience etc.
Because I'm TOO close, I'd like to hear other's opinions...feelings...
Why people like if they like. Why they hate if they hate. Why...

You know what I mean? ooooh this is hard because my English is not that you've noticed! :-) but I'll try!

Oh, sorry. I thought it was some kind of spam or something. No worries. I'll look at the video if you'd like.

Blogitse: Sorry I misunderstood. I'll look at the video and post a comment on your blog. I'll also send it out to my friends here. Frankly, I know some stuff about Europe but not much about Finland. I'd love to look at it.

I'll probably have a different perspective because I was born and raised in India. Though I've been living in US longer than I lived in India.

Thanks so much for your encouraging words! I really appreciate it. You English is perfect:)
